Some people say gangster rap died with Tupac and Biggie, but I believe the Gangster rap died today, the day 50 cent was not only beaten, but destroyed by John Mayer. More than 100,000 albums difference. I guess Fiddy is like Windows '95 and Sega 32X, he is old news and no one has any use for him anymore.

not surprising since he has just been recylcling his albums over and over again, why buy 50s new album when it just sounds the same as his old ones

A "gangster" named Curtis! And how ironic is that CD title now?? Seriously "Fiddy", go home and never come back. John Mayer is a bigger pimp than you and that 15 year old kid almost sold more records than you. The world of music no longer has a place for you.

But we all now Curtis isn't going away. As I write this, he's busy trying to decide to next to "beef" with. That seems to be his marketing strategy every time he puts out something new...

"Fiddy" was beat by John Mayer, a Christmas album from one of the greatest vocalists in the world, Norah Jones, and a Christian band.

AND almost lost to a 15 year old flash in the pan.

Yeah. Maybe 50 should go back to hiding in Eminem's coattails for a while.

So because 50 cent makes a 80 percent gangsta rap album instead of a banal vanilla album like every other album on the chart-people are giving him shit...? So much for going against the grain. 150k for a gangsta rap album aint bad in todays market either... He could have easily went the Jay Z or Kanye route and made pandering for the radio bullshit(empire state of mind is getting annoying), but he made the album he wanted to make... Its not like he needs the money anyways.
