Billboard has released its list of the Top 10 Male and Female Artists of 2009. Ironically, Taylor Swift tops the Female side, while Kanye West rules the Male side. Taylor ranked #1 on the overall list as well, while Kanye was at #6.

Kanye boosted Taylor's carrier, if it wasn't for him most people wouldn't even know who she was. So Taylor should be thanking him. Also Kanye didn't even have an album come out this year. Taylor is only so succsessful because she is country but they treat her like a pop star. Yes she can sing, but she'll fade off like all other flavors of the year.

Taylor Swift's album has been in the top 10 for almost a year consecutively.
Way before the Kanye incident.
