Steven Tyler Checks Into Rehab
Posted by Ashish on 12.23.2009

Steven Tyler has checked into a rehab facility due to an addiction to prescription painkillers. Tyler admitted the news to People, saying he became addicted to painkillers after suffering several injuries over the last 10 years.

"With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates," Tyler said.

At least it's nice to hear that he still wants to be with Aerosmith.

Well, Walleris, it honestly probably wasn't that hard of a decision for him to make - stay f***ed up all day on painkillers and become an afterthought, or get clean, rejoin the band, and maintain whatever semblance of relevancy (and income) he has left.

I guess it took the other guys looking for a new lead singer for him to realize he needed help. Still would've liked to see/hear Lennysmith (Aerokravitz?), though.

Wow this is deja-vu. Wasn't he in rehab the same time last year for exactly the same thing? Strange, but then with his recent injuries it wouldn't surprise me if he got addicted again.

Vicodin is a hell of a drug.

Been addicted for over 10 years due to chronic pain.
