Could Kanye be hip to his image problems?
Kanye West and girlfriend Amber Rose spent time over Christmas serving lunches for the L.A. Mission.
Kanye said, "It's just important to give back when you're very blessed. It's nice to spread your blessings and take time out, especially during the holidays to appreciate people who never get that appreciation. It makes me feel really good to come out here, with my family."
Yes, he always has been. Problem is that his "image problems" have kept him in the public eye in between albums. Translation; his image problems are part of his packaging to maximize relevence, brand diversification and profitability. Don't believe me? How popular was Taylor Swift in 2009? How many times did he get mentioned during her primetime moments? Has it hurt his record sales at all (aside from a few awards shutouts)? Ponder, my friends, ponder.

So... by that logic, are you justifying him acting like a asshole because it sells cd's? And yes... I do believe it has hurt his "record" sales, if only a tiny bit. Just because one hears his name everywhere does not mean he is selling more. Especially in the context that we hear his name in.

yeah, all the arguing is cool and all, but this is very awesome of him. to give money away is always nice for a celebrity to do, but to donate their time, especially on a day such as christmas, is just a really nice gesture for someone to do, regardless of public relation's motives

Yeah, I've read alot of people say Taylor Swift wasn't popular before the MTV incident. That's NOT TRUE at all. I'm almost 17 and all the girls I know have known and loved her long before the kayne thing.

she was only popular with country/teens aside from that she had average buzz at best.Kanye made her a household name anyone that can see that has some serious issues. Or just blinded by their own Kanye hate. I'm not a big fan of his but my heads not so far up my ass I can't admit that the Swift award hand outs and publicity wasn't due to Kanye to a certain degree.

Wow the amount of shit on here is hilarious. Before the MTV awards Swift was well known BUT nowhere near as popular until after the incident with West. People were pouring sympathy on her and are overrating her like crazy.
she won over Michael Jackson...love him or hate him that's bullshit. She needs to thank Mr. West the pity party just loves handing over awards to her.
