Kanye West Working On New Album
Posted by Aaron Mayagoitia on 01.04.2010

Kanye West has revealed on his blog that he is currently in the studio recording a new album.

"I'm so happy to be back in the studio making new music. I will bring you the best I have to offer with the same dedication that Kobe [Bryant, LA Lakers' shooting guard] has on the court," he wrote.

He added: "It's funny how so many rappers get worse as their careers stretch out, but true poets get better. We will follow in the footsteps of Maya Angelou, Gill Scott-Heron and Nina Simone. Their work improved with time. They documented what was happening in culture. That is our responsibility as the modern day artists and poets."

"Let us look past headlines and deal with just a bit of reality in this new decade. We have our own outlets now. We don't have to believe everything anymore," he said. "Now I'll figure out a way to make that rhyme."

Who lied to him and told him he was a poet? Being at the top of the Billboard 200 doesn't mean you are great...it means that people are sheep and will buy whatever they are told to buy for the most part. Same reason that monotone no talent 50 cent sells...anything

Too bad Kanye's albums have gotten worse as they've come out.

Yeah, but Kanye, you're not a poet.....

BLACK THOUGHT, Common, Mos Def, Jean Grae...they are poets.

Kanye West is, was and ever will be a steaming, talentless turd.

If I had enough money and enough auto-tune equipment, I could probably make albums and pass them off as Kanye since he is so overproduced that it can't even be considered music in my eyes
