More Details On The New Gorillaz Album
Posted by Mitch Michaels on 01.21.2010

Plastic Beach - the new album from Gorillaz - will be released by Virgin on March 9th. Cover art and tracklisting are below.

The album is preceded by first single "Stylo" (featuring Mos Def and Bobby Womack) which has already hit radio and will be available for download on January 26th.

Frontman Murdoc Niccals tweeted, "A leak! A leak! Plastic Beach has sprung a leak! One of those Russian pirates has put a bullet hole in my island! My single's leaked! STYLO!"

Five years after the hit album Demon Days, Gorillaz reconvened, "recording on a secret floating island deep in the South Pacific - the furthest point from any landmass on Earth; the most deserted spot on the planet." (according to the press release, anyway)

This news comes after Gorillaz were announced as headliners for 2010's Coachella. It will be their first live show in the US since 2006.
