Billboard's Top 25 Country Artists Of The Last 25 Years

To go along with the upcoming CMT Music Awards and their own Country Summit, Billboard.com has used album sales and chart performance to determine the Top 25 country artists of the last 25 years. Check out the full list below.

The 25 year mark is significant, since 1989 was the year that Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Clint Black and Alan Jackson premiered and, along with a handful of 80's artists like Randy Travis, helped spark a major renaissance period in country music.

I respect George Strait but Garth is number 1, George might be top 10 but not #1.

Garth Brooks is the Stone Cold Steve Austin of Country. A few really strong years, and much bigger celebrity and star power than anyone.

George Straight is the Ric Flair. Consistent big time performer over three decades. The difference is, George isn't hanging on too long. He's still putting out incredible stuff.

In my opinion Randy Travis has the best voice of them all. No one one will ever surpass him. His voice is truly one of a kind. And a true Gentleman.
