Another diva?

According to E!, Mariah Carey is still in talks to join American Idol as a judge.

"She wants it," says a source. "She's seen what America's Got Talent has done for [Nick Cannon] and thinks it will be a good career move."

A rep for Mariah said there is currently "nothing to report."

Rumor has it that, right now, Fox is keen on having Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Mariah Carey as judges, with a revolving guest judge.

she would be a better choice than J LO. I think Mariah can actually sing. I am still holding out hope that Christina Agulara will be on this show

Is American Idol totally stupid? She's the worst person they could possibly get. Give J-lo or Shania whatever they freaking want. We told you last year Ellen would suck, and now we say we want J-lo and Shania and you go and get the dumbest human possible. Way to go Idol.

What exactly has AGT done for Nick? I'd rather it be Shania than her or JLo, or heck even my first love, Olivia Newton-John.

Mariah Carey would be a huge upgrade over either Shania (old and washed up) Twain o Jennifer (has been) Lopez. Mariah is a great singer and will bring better evaluations of the talent. Other than a handful of greatb singers such as Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson,David Cook, and Daughtry most others have been stiffs!
