Eminem Wins Lawsuit Over Royalties

Universal Music Group owes him some money...
The United States Court of Appeals overturned a ruling from last year by a lower court and said that Universal Music Group (UMG) owes Eminem's former production company, F.B.T Productions, royalties for music used as ringtones or sold over iTunes. The Court said that the contract between FBT & UMG "unambiguously applies to permanent downloads and master-tones", which should result in royalties coming FBT's way. UMG plans on appealing this ruling.
