Michael Jackson's Dad Says He Was Tough On Him To Protect Him

A little old-time justice...
TMZ posted an interview with Joe Jackson that will be part of a movie that Katherine Jackson is producing with Howard Mann. The interviewer asked Joe about Michael's allegations that Joe physically abused him while he was younger. Joe responded as follows:
"I had to be like that because when raising him, in those days, so many gangs out there getting into trouble, going to jail. Most of them are dead now. He didn't have to worry about that."
When asked if he had regrets, Joe said he didn't, and played the media card:
"No! They tried to make a big issue when I spanked Michael or some of the kids, ya know? Just like they didn't spank their kids when they did wrong. The media twists everything."
And he also just HAD to have sex with the groupies while they were on tour as kids. Ya know, to keep his boys out of that trouble as well.

On one hand Joe Jackson was partly responsable for MJs success. On the other hand he was probably responsable for the problems MJ faced with in the later years of his life. R.I.P MJ.
