Music Exec Claims Grammys Snubbed Eminem and Justin Bieber
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.21.2011

A music exec recently took out a full-page ad in the New York Times, just to bash the Grammys.

Steve Stoute, the executive in question, claimed the ceremony was "a series of hypocrisies and contradictions" and was especially angered over the alleged "snubs" of Eminem and Justin Bieber.

"We must acknowledge the massive cultural impact of Eminem and Kanye West and how their music is shaping, influencing and defining the voice of a generation. How is it that Justin Bieber, an artist that defines what it means to be a modern artist, did not win Best New Artist?"

He cited those particular incidents as proof that the Grammys have lost touch with popular culture.
