Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 07.08.2011

Metallica were joined onstage by Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer on stage in their set to close out the first day of Sonisphere. The band played a fifteen song set at the festival and a three-song encoure with Diamond Head coming onto the stage for a cover of their song "Am I Evil?"

"Is there another band playing or something," said James Hetfield during the set. "What's all this extra gear? It's 'The Big Four Band', does that sound like a good idea?
