Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV To Be Released After His VMA Performance

Lil Wayne will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards and at midnight after the show, his new album Tha Carter IV will finally be released.

The album features collaborations with Drake, Cory Gunz, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes and others.

He said in a statement: "I am extremely excited to be the first artist to utilize such an amazing idea. I hope that I can open the door for others."

It will be available digitally at first, and then released August 29 in physical formats.
