Sting Writing New Musical

The Last Ship is in its early stages…
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sting is in the midst of writing a new musical called The Last Ship. Even though there is no official synopsis as of yet, the production is allegedly set in the city of Newcastle in the 1980s.
The lead character, Gideon, is described as a man in his thirties, "charismatic, charming, cynical, worldly-wise" and "quick to buy a round or throw a fist" but "slow to open his heart."
The show is currently in its early stages and is likely to have all new songs from Sting, instead of rehashed music from his catalog.
