Official Sales Numbers for Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV Revealed

How many copies did the album sell?
The official numbers are in and Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IVhas sold 964,000 copies in its first week. It reached the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart easily and it marks Wayne's third number one after Tha Carter III and I Am Not a Human Being.
This is the biggest sales week for a hip-hop album since Wayne's Tha Carter III. It's also 2011's second biggest opening behind Lady Gaga's Born This Way.
Tha Carter IV sold 362,000 digital copies in its first week, again the second biggest behind Gaga.
