The LAPD is thrilled with the verdict…
UPDATED x2: TMZ reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is thrilled with today's guilty verdict in the Conrad Murray manslaughter trial. They say that the verdict represents a "victory" in the eyes of law enforcement.
A representative of the LAPD says, "Today's verdict of guilty is confirmation that the combined efforts of our investigators, criminalists, Coroner investigators and the District Attorney's Office were sound. The investigators have worked diligently on this case and were confident throughout the process that the investigation supported the allegation of involuntary manslaughter."
UPDATE: TMZ spotted LaToya Jackson outside the LA County Courthouse to celebrate the guilty verdict given to Dr. Conrad Murray.
ORIGINAL: According to TMZ, Dr. Conrad Murray has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. The trial lasted 6-weeks, and the jury came to the conclusion that prosecutors proved beyond a reasonable doubt Dr. Murray is responsible for Jackson's death. Murray faces up to four years in jail, but due to a new law, he will not go to state prison. Instead, he will likely serve his time in L.A. County Jail.

So does he serve time or does he lose his license or what?

This was the right call.
Just because MJ had cash (or credit cards or whatever) Murray had a responsibility to not fill him full of whatever drugs he was putting in him.
The sad part is I heard that Conrad Murray was in line to become the Hardy's personal doctor.

The media drives Michael Jackson into depression with unproven molestation accusations. Jackson goes to his doctor where he abuses his prescription medication to cope with the pain. Jackson dies of an overdose, the media stops it's frenzy against him and mourns his death; The media than goes after the doctor, and now celebrates after his conviction.
Considering musicians have overdosed over much harder drugs and Jackson certainly had as much access to them instead of Doctor's prescription. Is Dr. Murray really responsible for his death or should the media be held accountable for driving Jackson to the drugs in the first place?

I don't see the big deal Dr. Murray killed a child molester we should be treating him like a hero not a murderer.

I got two things for ya!!!
1) okay, MJ was a supposed child molester. Since we cannot prove I get (though paying off the accusers when your innocent does raise a Rock's eyebrow or two. Come on, if your innocent why buy silence?)
2) Am I the ONLY one who finds the HUMOR that the LAPD is happy? Seriously? They knew if it was not guilty there would have been a riot on their hands that made the Rod K riots look like a baby's temper tantrum. Gotta love LAians those people just love a good reason to riot...wait..my comment...oh NO!!! Put down my widescreen tv!!!! Help Police!!!!
