Conrad Murray's Lawyers to Ask For Probation

Conrad Murray has a last gambit to try and stay out of jail. TMZ reports that Murray's lawyers will ask Judge Michael Pastor for probation for Murray instead of imprisonment. Sources close to the case say that Murray's lawyers will argue that he has no criminal history and has been a model citizen and good doctor for the whole of his professional life, Michael Jackson's death aside.
Murray's lawyers are collecting statements from his patients to try and sway the judge. Murray faces a maximum of four years in state prison, though due to a new California law he would actually end up serving a maximum of two years in L.A. County Jail with house arrest a possibility.
