Items were from his LA home...
Michael Jackson's personal possessions sold nearly $1 million at auction yesterday. The Press Association reports that the items, taken from his Los Angeles home, were auctioned off by Julien's Auctions who were unable to reveal the exact figure raised, but confirmed that it was almost triple the estimated value of $200,000 - $400,000.
Among the items were a blackboard on which Jackson's daughter Paris wrote "I love daddy, smile it's for free, love Paris" that went for $5,000 and a mirror upon which which Jackson wrote "Train perfection March, April full out May" that sold for $25,750.
Auction director Darren Julien said, "Michael Jackson has the greatest fans in the world. I can see why he lived for them. They came out every day this week to bring gifts. It's unlike anything we've ever seen as it relates to a celebrity and their fans."
It really boggles my mind to see how much money these people are blowing away senselessly. Don't get me wrong I like Michael, and I like to buy his music, and that's pretty much it. Someone could say "whatever float your boat", but there is always this perpetual two sides of the coin of life looming: the sucker and the suckee. I've heard they are launching a MJ line of fragrances. Now, that stinks! http://jacksontributefragrances.blogspot.com
