Kanye West Arrives 45 Minutes Late to His Big Day Out Set

Soundgarden did not approve...
Kanye West arrived 45 minutes late to his set at Big Day Out, keeping his fans waiting in the rain. His performance was said to be good enough to appease them, but the newly reunited Soundgarden – as well as their fans - were much more vocal.
They ended up having to play their set on a stage nearby Kanye, who was going through his soundcheck. His music was blasted so loud that it overpowered Soundgarden's set and angered the band and their fans. Chris Cornell yelled out to the crowd:
"Sounds like there's children playing music there, retarded children, retarded as in held back. There's no other word for it."
