Rihanna has bought a new Marilyn Monroe portrait for almost $160,000. The pop star purchased the painting, which is five square feet and made with 65,000 Swarovski crystals for about £100,000.
The portrait reportedly changes color constantly and "sends rainbows of light round the room." It was made by artist Claire Milner in her studio on Yorkshire over a four-month period. Milner commented on it, saying that "I tried to show the glitter of the public life and then the sadness in Marilyn's eyes."
She also said that the whole thing was done through Rihanna's interior decorators and that they "told me afterwards that she loved it."
