UPDATED: Russell Brand Doesn't Plan On Taking Any Of Katy Perry's Money

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Katy Perry is taking back her maiden name as part of her divorce from Russell Brand. According to Katy's legal response to Russell's divorce, the two have reached a "comprehensive written settlement." In addition to Brand waving the community property agreement, Katy put a check next to the box saying that she's restoring her legal name to Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson.


ORIGINAL: Russell Brand is entitled to $20 million of Katy Perry's money, but he will not take any of it.

Brand's lawyer filed final divorce papers on Tuesday, and the divorce will be made official on June 30 due to the six month waiting period. The two did not have a prenup, which means everything they earned during their marriage (14 months) is community property and they get 50% each.

Perry made $44 million between May 2010-May 2011 and the two married in October 2010.

A source said: "This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person). He doesn't want Katy's money. He's happy to walk away with the money he earned -- which is far less than what Katy raked in."
