Pete Doherty has been paid damages from the publishers of News of the World after they hacked his phone.
He received an undisclosed sum from NGN, the subsidiary of News International as part of fifteen settlements reached earlier today at the High Court. Others paid include Steve Coogan, former government communications director Alastair Campbell, former soccer player Paul Gascoigne, soccer agent Sky Andrew, MP Simon Hughes, jockey Kieren Fallon and racing trainer Samantha Wallin.
Charlotte Church has refused to settle and is still seeking legal proceedings. Jude Law is among the celebrities to have already accepted damages from the organization.
