Aerosmith Producer Says he Wanted Stephen King to Write Lyrics For the Band's New Album

He explains…

- Aerosmith Producer Jack Douglas recently revealed that he tried to convince the band to let writer Stephen King pen lyrics for their new album. He explains…

"They looked at me like I was crazy. I said, 'No, I'm serious. If there's anyone who's going to inspire him, it'd be Stephen King.'

Steven doesn't need melody – he needs someone who's going to inspire him as a wordsmith. I don't want a guy who's just writing hits right now."

It is not known if King ended up collaborating with the band, but the new album is expected to be released later this year.

Stephen King should be writing lyrics for Metallica or something, his style wouldn't gel at all with Aerosmith.
