Adele and Van Halen Battling for #1 Album Next Week

It's gonna be close...
Van Halen could well get their sixth #1 album, unless the Grammys give Adele the win. Billboard reports that Van Halen's A Different Kind of Truth should move between 180,000 to 200,000 copies by the end of the week.
While that would normally be enough to push Adele out of the top spot, she is predicted to get a big sales boost from the Grammys this weekend, where she is nominated for six awards and will make her first performance since her surgery in November. 21 sold 122,000 copies last week and it could boost enough to stymy Van Halen and take a twentieth non-consecutive week at #1.
Also set for big debuts are the Now 41 compilation (110,000), the Fray's Scars and Stories (100,000), Paul McCartney's Kisses on the Bottom (70,000) and Dierks Bentley's (60,000).
that VH album is pretty hard to listen too and the single tattoo is HORRID.
Good to see 180k albums not gets you close to #1 for a first week new release. My how the music industry has plummeted.

I still think Tattoo is an outright bad song, regardless of the band, but the rest of the album fares far better. Pleasant surprise - though I think it's obvious that Dave isn't what he used to be, and they definitely miss Michael Anthony's background vocals. All that said, it's a solid album, and better than it had any right to be, really.

Agree 100%. I was expecting a train wreck after hearing Tattoo. But this album is surprisingly solid. I do miss Michael Anthony on background vocals though.
