UPDATE: Adele has responded to the original comment by Lagerfeld, telling People that she never sought to be glamour magazine thin.
"I've never wanted to look like models on the cover of magazines," she said. "I represent the majority of women and I'm very proud of that."
ORIGINAL: Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has apologized for claiming Adele was "too fat" in an interview, and says he's her biggest fan.
He said: "I'd like to say to Adele that I am your biggest admirer," he said. "Sometimes when you take a sentence out of the article it changes the meaning of the thought. I actually prefer Adele, she is my favourite singer and I am a great admirer of her. I lost over 30 kilos over 10 years ago and have kept it off. I know how it feels when the press is mean to you in regards to your appearance."
He described her as a "beautiful girl" and said he was looking forward to her next album.
Why is this woman untouchable? Seriously, she's an okay singer who has come out with some good songs and some really bad songs (Chasing Pavements makes me want to end my own life). She's not particularly attractive, its okay to admit it. In all honesty why is she so damn untouchable that anyone who says anything bad is reduced to groveling at the feet of Adele.

No, Tom...she's not attractive to you. That's fine. Nothing wrong with that, everyone's different. I'm not attracted to CoCo. (But give me Jennifer Connelly any day) Do you see the distinction? The lack of absolutes?
I'm currently banging a fat chick. I'm not banging her because she's fat, and I do recognize that she is fat. But her other qualities? So much more than make up for any of that. That's what I'm attracted to. And no diet or plastic surgery can give you that spark.

But here's my thing about it, she's being shoved down peoples throats as this untouchable monster of a person. Nobody is untouchable, I don't care if you're the top selling artist of all time, someone should be allowed to criticize you if they feel fit. Its quite annoying that any time anything negative comes out about her, the person gets PR owned and has to beg for forgiveness. I'm not talking about her attractiveness, I'm talking about the fact that NOBODY can get away from saying anything negative about her.
