She says that they knew about her messages...
Heather Mills says that her phone was hacked by a UK journalist. Mills testified that a journalist working for the Trinity Mirror intercepted several messages between her and Paul McCartney back in 2011 when they were still involved.
Mills said that one incident involved McCartney calling her repeatedly after a fight, saying, "There were about 25 messages, all asking for forgiveness, (asking:) 'Would I come back?'" Mills says. "One of them said: 'Please forgive me,' and he sang a little ditty of one of his songs into the voicemail." Mills noted that she thought it odd that the messages were listed as having been listened to already but didn't think much about it until the journalist called her about details of the fight.
"I said: 'There's no way that you could know that unless you have been listening to my messages,'" she said. "And he laughed."
The testimony is part of the scandal regarding allegations of News of the World doing phone hacking. Piers Morgan implied that Mills had played the recording for her, but when asked directly Mills denied ever playing the call for anyone else.
