He's still paying for beating up Rihanna...
Superior Court Judge George Lomeli agreed with prosecutors on Thursday that Chris Brown will need to continue to report to a probation officer in Virginia as he works to finish the terms of his 2009 sentence for beating his ex-girlfriend, singer Rihanna.
Brown's attorney asked for Brown's probation to end because of his good behavior. Brown's probation officer wrote in a report that Brown has been truthful with officers, passed all required drug tests, and made "great strides" while under supervision. He has so far completed half of his sex months worth of roadside cleanup, graffiti removal, and other labor assignments as part of his sentence which also includes five years on probation. He also has completed anger management and domestic violence counseling. Last year, the courts also relaxed the restraining order that banned Brown and Rihanna from contacting each other or getting close to each other at music industry events.
Brown will be performing this Sunday at the Grammys. It was three years ago when he beat up Rihanna so bad that she was unable to perform at the Grammys.
The judge scheduled another progress hearing for July 10.
