The Rolling Stones Won't Perform With Adele And Blur At The 2012 Olympic Games
Posted by Joseph Lee on 02.10.2012

A spokesperson for The Rolling Stones denied rumors that the band will headline a concert in London to celebrate the Olympics.

It was rumored that the band would headline a "Best of British" concert on August 12 in London's Hyde Park with both Adele and Blur.

The spokesperson, Bernard Doherty, said: "Contrary to a totally inaccurate report in the London Evening Standard today, The Rolling Stones wish to point out that they are not performing at any concerts tied to the 2012 Olympic Games in Hyde Park or The Olympic Park."

The report also said there would be fourteen days of free events in Hyde Park to go with the Olympics, inclduding two paid-for 80,000 capacity concerts on the night of the opening and closing ceremonies. The Rolling Stones haven't confirmed any dates for this year.

Adel & Blur should't be allowed anywhere near a " Best of British " concert, we need to get Iron Maiden & Ozzy up there! Maybe Saxon or Judas Priest, hell I'd settle for some Floyd or Zepplin even but not this commercial shite!
