Sources tell TMZ that before Marc Anthony filed for divorce from Jennifer Lopez, he had held out hope for a possible reconciliation. He even had a heart-to-heart talk with Lopez a few weeks back to see if she really wanted to end the marriage.
However, she told him that she was deeply in love with her boyfriend Casper Smart and she wanted to pursue that relationship instead.
Anthony was hurt by the news and proceeded to file the divorce papers this week.
