Nicki Minaj's Dad Upset Over Getting Slammed By Her

Nicki Minaj's father is said to be very upset over comments by the rapper that she wanted to kill him when she was a child. TMZ reports that Minaj went off on her father Omar during a recent Nightline interview, saying he was an alcoholic and drug addict who threatened to kill her mother and burned down their house.
"I wanted to kill [my dad]," she said. "I used to wish he was dead ... 'We were afraid for my mother's life because whenever he would have a real bad outburst he would threaten to kill her."
According to sources close to the family, Nicki's comments were highly exaggerated and while Omar admits he had anger issues, it wasn't as bad as Minaj described. He says he never knew she felt this was and loves her very much; he is said to be is torn up over the fact that she took her issues with him public.
