Nicki Minaj Doesn't Want Kids Listening to Her Explicit Lyrics
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 04.27.2012

Nicki Minaj has confessed that she would be "very upset" if she heard kids listening to the explicit versions of her songs. Minaj told the Guardian that she doesn't want to see children using curse words, including the kids in her life.

"I don't want children cursing," she said. "I'm very strict on my nieces and my little brother. They have to listen to clean versions of music."

Minaj also said that she thinks there's a certain amount of sexism in play when people criticize her explicit lyrics. "Why do people ask me to lose swear words?" she asked. "Do people ask Eminem to lose swear words? Do they ask Lil Wayne to lose swear words? Nobody stops them and says 'Would you stop swearing... for the children, please?'"
