Taylor Hicks Disagrees with Kris Allen’s American Idol Statements

TMZ spoke with Taylor Hicks, the winner of American Idol: Season 5, about fellow winner Kris Allen's beliefs that the show's producers should just pull the plug.
Hicks, who was signed to Arista Records in 2006 before being dropped in 2008, says, "American Idol is a juggernaut ... Because of my American Idol win, I am able to do the thing that I love most, which is to be an entertainer. The fact that I am headlining Vegas 6 years after auditioning there and then ultimately winning AI is testament to the incredible platform the show continues to provide for me."
Kris Allen said that American Idol should end after this season's finale brought in the lowest ratings in the show's history.
