Metallica Perform Their Black Album at Download Festival
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 06.10.2012

Metallica played a two-hour set at the Download Festival 2012 last night in Leicestershire, England. NME reports that the band performed their 1991 self-titled album, popularly called the Black Album, at the show.

The band reportedly started their set list off with "Hit The Lights" from Kill 'Em All and played a selection of some other hits before leaving the stage while footage was screened from various parts of their career. They then returned to play the Black Album in full (albeit in reverse order), with James Hetfield wearing a jacket with Black Sabbath, who headline tonight, emblazoned on the back.

Their full setlist is below:

'Hit The Lights'
'Master Of Puppets'
'For Whom The Bell Tolls'
'To Hell And Back'
'The Struggle Within'
'My Friend Of Misery'
'The God That Failed'
'Of Wolf And Man'
'Nothing Else Matters'
'Through The Never'
'Don't Tread On Me'
'Wherever I May Roam'
'The Unforgiven'
'Holier Than Thou'
'Sad But True'
'Enter Sandman'
'Battery'
'One'
'Seek And Destroy'
