Metallica Voted the Best Act at 2012 Download Festival

NME.com readers voted Metallica as the best act at this year's Download Festival.
The band played a two-hour-long set on the first day of the festival (June 9), playing their 1991 album – known as "The Black Album" – in its entirety alongside some other well-known tracks.
Black Sabbath were voted the second best performance, closing the festival on June 10 with a set that spanned their entire career.
The top ten best acts at Download Festival 2012 – as voted by nme.com readers – are as follows:
