Never too old for good chilled beer...
NME reports that Motorhead have launched their own lager, which is called "Bastards Lager".
The beer is brewed by Swedish brewery Krönleins. It can be ordered by case from Systembolaget, the Swedish state liquor shop.
Drummer Mikkey Dee said: "You're never too old for rock 'n' roll and good chilled beer. That always works well together!"
This is the second alcohol brand from Motorhead this past year. They announced in 2011 they would sell their own red wine called "Motorhead Shiraz". Other bands to have launched their own red wine include Slayer (called "Reign in Blood", a Cabernet Sauvignon from California) and AC/DC, who have four. The AC/DC wines include "Highway To Hell", a Cabernet Sauvignon; "Hells Bells", a Sauvignon Blanc; "Back In Black", a Shiraz; and "You Shook Me All Night Long", a Moscato.
Motorhead and Anthrax will both tour the UK later this year. They will play ten dates in November, starting at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on November 5 and ending on November 18 at Bristol's Colston Hall. They released their last album The World Is Yours in December 2010. The next album will be the band's 21st.
