Bruce Springsteen Named 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year

He’s being honored by the company that produces the Grammy Awards…
Billboard reports that The Recording Academy – the organization that produces the Grammy Awards – is recognizing Bruce Springsteen for his creative and philanthropic contributions by naming him the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year.
Springsteen will be honored at a private fundraising dinner ceremony on February 8 in Los Angeles. Past honorees include Barbra Streisand, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Paul McCartney.
Neil Portnow, president of The Recording Academy, called Springsteen a "renaissance artist of our time, a national treasure, and an exemplary humanitarian."
During Springsteen's near 40-year career, he has won 20 Grammy Awards.
