The Hollywood Reporter (via Billboard reports that Mary J. Blige and Michael Buble will work as advisers for NBC's The Voice in the fall season. Blige will be on Adam Levine's team while Buble will join Blake Shelton's team.
Levine recently told Rolling Stone: "I've always been a huge fan of Mary J. Blige. So it's been great having her on The Voice as an adviser to my team."
Blige's role comes just after the announcement of her tour with R&B singer D'Angelo, which will begin August 18. She also recently starred in Rock of Ages.
Both have a lot of expertise in the music realm, as Blige has won nine Grammy and four American Music Awards while Buble has had three Grammys and sold over 30 million albums worldwide.
Both Blige and Buble will meet with contestants and give them advice before their performances. NBC has not announced mentors for Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, so more big names could come by later. Previous mentors include Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Alanis Morissette and Robin Thicke. The third season will premiere on NBC on September 10.
