A new film for the new Idol host...
Mariah Carey has joined the cast of The Butler. Contact Music reports that Carey is joining Lee Daniels' film about Eugene Allen, who served as the butler for eight U.S. presidents.
The film stars Forest Whitaker as Allen, Oprah Winfrey as his wife, James Marsden as John F. Kennedy, Minka Kelly as Jackie Kennedy, John Cusack as Richard Nixon and Alan Rickman and Jane Fonda as Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Carey's role isn't know. Production has already started in New Orleans, Louisiana.
