He thinks money is the answer...
The Sun (via NME) reports that a EuroMillions lottery winner wants to reunite the original lineup of Guns N' Roses.
Adrian Bayford, who won £148 million ($231.9 million) in Friday's EuroMillions draw said he would love to use some of it to reunite the band. Bayford (age 41) runs a music shop in Haverhill, Suffolk.
He said: "I think I would just have to get Guns N' Roses together — the original line-up, mind. I am a real fan."
The line-up that recorded 1987's Appetite for Destruction are now almost all gone, except for Axl Rose. Drummer Steven Adler was fired in 1990 and guitarist Izzy Stradlin quit in 1991. Slash quit five years later and bassist Duff McKagan quit in 1997. Both McKagan and Stradlin have joined the new lineup onstage at events, but Slash has not performed with Rose in almost 20 years.
Earlier in the week, the current lineup announced they would play a 12-date residency at the Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in October. The shows will be called "Appetite for Democracy" and the band will play a long and career-spanning setlist at the shows. They begin on October 31 and run November 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 17, 18, 21, 23 and 24.
