With Ron Howard directing…
Jay-Z's Made in America festival is headed to movie theaters. The New York Post reports that Jay and Steve Stoute will be working with Ron Howard and Brian Grazer on a documentary about the festival.
Grazer spoke about the project, saying, "The festival showcases 20 pre-eminent artists that speak to the new generation. I am producing the film with Steve Stoute and Jay. Ron is directing. It is going to be born through Jay-Z's perspective... how he puts the event together."
Jay-Z is holding the festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 1st and 2nd. Set for the festival are Drake, Pearl Jam, Run-DMC, Skrillex, Rick Ross, Miike Snow, Odd Future and Janelle Monáe.
"Jay stayed the king for a very long time," added Grazer. "I can't even begin to explain how he is capable of remaining relevant. He is a phenom, like a musical Michael Jordan."
