[VIDEO] Gotye Says He Hasn't Started Work on New Album
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 09.07.2012

Gotye says that he's not working on his next album quite yet. Gotye told Billboard at the MTV Video Music Awards last night that he doesn't have anything written down but that he's getting ready to.

"I haven't started writing anything yet actually," he said. "My second album, Like Drawing Blood, was released in 2006 in Australia, but I was still touring it and releasing it for the first time in Japan in early 2009. So I lived with that record for a long time."

He noted that the past year has has felt like "three or four years compacted into one," so he's ready to start work again. "I'm actually still feeling quite fresh -- I'm ready to write new stuff. This for me has been a fast experience of putting an album out."
