Taylor Swift Reclaims the Top Spot on the Billboard Hot 100

Her third week on top
Taylor Swift and Flo Rida continue trading turns at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Billboard reports that Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" reclaimed the top spot on the chart. The first single from her upcoming album Red was up a spot for third non-consecutive week at the top of the chart. It is now the longest-running country song at the top of the chart since Kenny Rogers' "Lady" was on top for six weeks in November of 1980. The song got a boost from the MTV Video Music Awards, rising 12% in digital sales to 284,000 copies.
Meanwhile, Maroon 5's "One More Night" rose one spot to #2 on the chart, its highest position to date. Rida's former #1 "Whistle" was down two places to #3, followed by fun.'s "Some Nights" which was up a spot to #4. Ellie Goulding's "Lights" was down a spot to #5.
Pink also benefited from the VMAs as "Blow Me (One Last Kiss)" rose five places to #6 on the strength of a 37% gain in digital sales to 114,000 copies. The song has now sold over a million copies digitally. Justin Bieber's "As Long As You Love Me" featuring Big Sean was up two spots to #7 while Neon Trees' "Everybody Talks" was down to spots to #8. Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City's "Good Time" was down a spot to #9 and Alex Clare's "Too Close" rode a wave of attention from an appearance on So You Think You Can Dance to rise five spots to #10.
