Check out "Panic Station"...
NME reports that a new song from Muse has appeared online in the form of a video from their concert in Cologne, Germany on Thursday night. It was their first show since their headline appearance at the Reading Festival. They performed at the 2000 capacity E-Werk venue.
The song is called "Panic Station" and is from their sixth album The 2nd Law. Other songs played from the album include recent single 'Madness', their Olympic theme 'Survival', 'Supremacy', 'Animal', 'Save Me' and 'Follow Me'.
After the show, drummer Dominic Howard said: "The new stuff went down well, and we were nervous of course. For the first gig back you're like, 'fucking hell, how do we do this again?' But then we just relax into it, settle in and you look forward to the next one."
Earlier this week, Matt Bellamy said that he has been writing about his own private life on the album for the first time since their 1999 debut Showbiz. He said that they were looking to always break "new ground and find new sounds to play with".
They will tour the UK in October with five shows, starting at Glasgow's SECC on October 24. The shows continue at London's O2 Arena for two shows on October 26 and 27, Birmingham LG Arena on October 30 and finish at the Manchester Arena on November 1. They will also play the iTunes festival at London's Roundhouse on September 30.
