Lauryn Hill's Ex Says Wyclef Jean Knows He Wasn't the Father of Her Baby

The father of Lauryn Hill's child claims that Wyclef Jean is lying by claiming that Hill tricked him into thinking he was the father. TMZ reports that Rohan Marley spoke out about Jean's claim that they had an affair in 1996 and that Hill made him think he was the father of her first child Zion David.
Marley dated Hill from 1996 through 2011 and said that Hill's fellow Fugee "knew…that was my son from the day [Lauryn] was pregnant."
Marley says that he did know that Hill and Jean were involved before he became involved with her, but says he knows it ended because Jean got them involved. He noted that the two were recording all the time and wouldn't have had time for an affair, noting "They were definitely not messing around, or he would never have given me the okay."
Marley said he believes that Jean is "just saying false things to get book headlines."
Jean said, "There is no way that I would have shown up in the hospital in that circumstance to wait for a baby to be born if it was not mine. The idea of a memoir is to tell the truth. I know that often the truth hurts, but a lie hurts even more."
