UPDATED: Chris Brown Fails Drug Test in Rihanna Probation Case
Posted by Jeremy Thomas on 09.24.2012

UPDATE: While Chris Brown is off the hook on the marijuana test he failed, his case is still under further review., Billboard reports that the judge in Brown's probation ordered a review of his community service and travel to see whether he has violated the terms of his probation.

The judge, Patricia Schnegg, said that community service logs from Virginia were "somewhat cryptic" and that she needed more review was to determine whether Brown has met his probation terms. The spreadsheet from the Richmond, Virginia police chief said Brown had completed 1,402 hours of community service.

ORIGINAL: Chris Brown failed a drug test in relation to his probation on domestic violence. TMZ reports that Brown was in court today for a probation report hearing in regard to his felony battery case where he assaulted Rihanna. The documents show that Brown failed a drug test on June 18th in Virginia where he was doing his community service, testing positive for marijuana.

Brown told the probation officer that he smoked weed in California, where he has a prescription for medical marijuana. He then failed the test in Virginia, which has no marijuana legalization law. The judge let him off with a warning, as she never ordered Brown to undergo mandatory drug testing as part of his probation.
