Taylor Swift Gets Fifth #1 On Billboard Digital Songs Chart

Taylor Swift has her first #1 on the Billboard Digital Songs Chart as "Begin Again" (from her new album Red) debuts with 299,000. It was enough to beat PSY's "Gangnam Style", which fell to #2.
Ke$ha returns to the chart with "Die Young", which debuted at #3. It is the first single from her album Warrior, which will be released on December 4. Her last single was 2010, when she released "We R Who We R" from Cannibal. That song debuted at #1 with 280,000
Rihanna debuts at #7 with "Diamonds", which sold 133,000. It is the first single from her new untitled album, which will be out later this year. "We Found Love", the first single from Talk That Talk, sold 117,000 in its first week. However, the song was released on a Thursday, giving it a shorter week. "Diamonds" was released last Wednesday, which meant it had one more day of sales.

Digital track sales totaled 23.05 this week, down 2% compared to last week (23.53 million) and up 13% compared to last year (20.37 million). Year-to-date track sales are at 1.009 billion up 6% compared with the same total at this point last year (952.74 million).
