Rihanna's "Diamonds" Increase Her Billboard Social 50 Ranking

Rihanna has climbed 23-3 on the Billboard 200 after the release of her new single "Diamonds" from the album Unapologetic, which will be released on November 19.
The Social 50 chart ranks the most popular artists on YouTube, Vevo, Facebook, Twitter and MySpace with a formula that looks at weekly additions of friends/fans/followers along, weekly page views and weekly song plays.
"Diamonds" had over 8 million viewers since being released on September 27, a 28% gain in new viewers for her VEVO channel (29 million overall). She added 1.3 million new fans on Facebook and 105,000 Twitter followers.

Those moving their way up the charts to the top ten include Bruno Mars, who rises 38-22. He released his latest single "Locked Out Of Heaven" on October 1. It comes from Unorthodox Jukebox, which will be released on December 10. It has been played over two million times on Youtube and Mars has had a 50% increase in fans.
Selena Gomez rose 50-26 thanks to the film Hotel Translyvania. She previously voiced Helga in 2008's Horton Hears A Who. The new movie has given her 600,000 new fans and a 9% increase in music video views.
David Guetta moved up 17-11 thanks to his latest single "She Wolf" on September 28 through VEVO. It caused his weekly views to climb 50%, and gave him a 31% gain in Twitter followers and 135,000 new Facebook fans.
