Mick Jagger Hints The Rolling Stones Could Tour in Australia Next
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 10.18.2012

NME reports that Mick Jagger is suggesting that the 50th Anniversary shows this year for The Rolling Stones will not be their last and that he'd like to take the band to Australia.

Jagger was asked about the Stones touring in Australia at the red carpet premiere for the new Stones documentary Crossfire Hurrican on October 18. Jagger stated, "Not this week! We're going to go and rehearse this week but I hope to go to Australia. I haven't been there in years."

Regarding the Stones' upcoming show dates in London and New Jersey, Jagger stated, "Rehearsals are going really well. We've done loads of songs, we're playing well and everyone's sounding good."

The documentary Crossfire Hurricane tells the story of the band's rise using archival footage. Regarding the band's ongoing success, Jagger states, "Well, it helps to be alive! We're still working and putting out records and all that sort of thing." He also said regarding remembering the band's early days more vividly than recent times, "I remember everything, darling."

Jagger and his bandmates are set to play two nights at the O2 Arena in London on November 25 and 29 which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Rolling Stones. They will next play two nights at the Prudential center in Newark, New Jersey on December 13 and 15.
