Due to Hurricane Sandy...
NME reports that Bruce Springsteen has postponed a concert in Rochester, New York tonight due to Hurricane Sandy. The concert has been moved to tomorrow instead.
He wrote on his official website: "Due to the current weather complications in the tri-state area, the Tuesday, October 30 show at Rochester, NY's Blue Cross Arena is being postponed to Wednesday, October 31. Stay safe, and see you on Wednesday!"
Other shows tonight that were affected by the "Frankenstorm" include Deftones (New York and Baltimore) and Swans, who canceled a show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg last night. Several talk shows with musical guests were canceled, including Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon will air without studio audiences.
The xx previously postponed three shows in New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore ahead of the storm. The band's label, Young Turks, confirmed that the shows will be rescheduled and all original tickets are still valid.
Meanwhile, after Grimes' show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg was canceled, she tweeted: "I am fully appreciating the seriousness of this situation, but its kind of exciting to be stuck in a hurricane."
Other shows affected include Cat Power's concert at Electric Factory, a Rita Ora show in Philadelphia and the Freedom to Love Now! charity fundraiser show which would have had The National and Rufus Wainwright perform. Cat Power's show has already been rescheduled for January 30, 2013.
