Chris Martin Says Coldplay Doesn't Care About Being Cool
Posted by Joseph Lee on 11.08.2012

NME reports that Coldplay's Chris Martin says the band does not care about being cool.

In a clip from Coldplay's Live 2012 DVD, Martin talks about the excitement before each show and the moment the band walks on to the stage. He said: "When the lights go down, that's 30,000 peoples lives colliding. Everyone there working is working for that moment, everyone watching is watching for that moment. It's when you're all in agreement about what you're all doing so it's a wonderful feeling of togetherness and possibility. Whilst it might not be perceived to be really enthused when people show up to hear your music but we don't give a fuck, we really love that. It's exciting when you're 15 and you throw a house party and people come so imagine that on a daily basis with 20,000 people."

The DVD features footage shot at Montreal's Bell Centre, Paris and Glastonbury. It will be released through Parlophone and is available for pre-order now.

You can watch the video here or see a video of Coldplay performing "Clocks" on the DVD here.
